When speaking at a press conference the day before take-off of the Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer [someone asked what would happen] if something were to go drastically wrong, Sir Richard Branson promptly took off his watch and gave it to his great friend Steve Fossett.
This may seem odd, but the reason Richard did this is because his Breitling watch has an in-built Emergency Positioning Indicating Radiobeacon (EPIRB)
Breitling: Emergency
:: So if you're totally screwed in need of rescue, just grab the big knob at about the 5 o'clock position and turn it until it snaps. Then you can pull out the 17 inch wire antenna coiled inside. (How 007 is that?!) The watch will then transmit a SOS on 121.5 MHz for 48 hours. That could be handy.
This sucker is made of titanium, with glare-proof crystal over the face. It retails for $3,500 and up.
$3,500 should buy you about 900 gallons of Jet-A, which might be a better deal.

That is definitely in Bond territory. I will ad it to my Amazon wish list...
